Mohn Doss, Medical Physicist in Diagnostic Imaging: 1) Low-dose radiation increases activation of natural killer cells. 2) Natural killer cells eliminate cancer cells, and so there would be less cancers following exposure to low-dose radiation.
Scientists for Accurate Radiation Information, SARI, S.A.R.I.: LNT-based radiophobia fuels needless evacuations, results in extraordinary environmental cleanup costs, inspires avoidance of life-saving medical procedures, produces pressure to lower the diagnostic quality of radiation-related medical imaging, and promotes nuclear fear. Studies supporting LNT are not benign; they do not err on the safe side; and they have deadly consequences.
Mark Miller, Bobby Scott, Bert Morales, Mohan Doss - In 2013, in response to the harm caused by the misinformation propagated regarding radiation effects in Fukushima, following the initiative of Dr. Bobby Scott of Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, a group of about 20 scientists formed a new group known as Scientists for Accurate Radiation Information (SARI). Mission: To help prevent unnecessary, radiation-phobia-related deaths, morbidity, and injuries associated with distrust of radio-medical diagnostics/therapies and from nuclear/radiological emergencies through countering phobia-promoting misinformation spread by alarmists via the media.
No reason to fear low dose radiation (SARI - Doss, Cohen, Corrice, Cuttler, Davey, Dobrzynski, Esposito, Feinendegen, Fornalski, Fellman, Gomez, Lewis, Mahn, Miller, Pennington, Philbin, Rangacharyulu, Strupczewski, Sutou) USofA Japan Canada Poland11.Apr.2015
SARI, Scientists for Accurate Radiation Information, says that there is no reason to fear low-dose radiation. They explain that the LNT model is a problem, why it was adopted, why it persists, and how it can be overcome.
The LNT model is probably the most egregious error ever made in the name of science, considering the long period over which it has been used worldwide in spite of there being no valid evidence for it and in spite of the casualties and calamities its use has caused.
