In 2000 the concept of Generation Ⅳ(GⅣ) Advanced Nuclear Systems was proposed by the United States and approved by numerous nuclear power countries in 2001, which includes six types of reactor systems: Sodium Cooled Fast Reactor (SFR), Gas Cooled Fast Reactor (GFR), Super-Critical Water Reactor (SCWR), Lead Cooled Fast Reactor (LFR), Very High Temperature Reactor (VHTR) and Molten Salt Reactor (MSR). Right now the fast reactor development in China is under the experimental reactor stage, then it will be step by step going to prototype and commercial sized demonstration fast reactor stages.
